Barangay Lut-od

Barangay Lut-od forms part of Pinamungajan, a municipality in Cebu, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Lut-od had a population of 3,219. This made it the 6th largest of 26 barangays in Pinamungajan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lut-od accounted for approximately 4.28% of the total population of Pinamungajan, which stood at 75,131 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lut-od moving from 3,112 residents to 3,219 residents, an intercensal change of +3.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Lut-od as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pinamungajan is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Lut-od, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Cebu, which contains 1,203 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Lut-od ranks 305th by 2020 population. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
