Barangay Tubigan

Barangay Tubigan is a small barangay in the municipality of Pio v. Corpuz, located in the province of Masbate, in the Bicol Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tubigan had a population of 950. This made it the 13th largest of 18 barangays in Pio v. Corpuz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tubigan accounted for approximately 4.00% of the total population of Pio v. Corpuz, which stood at 23,744 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tubigan moving from 1,014 residents to 950 residents, an intercensal change of -6.3%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Tubigan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pio v. Corpuz is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tubigan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
