Barangay Banga II

Barangay Banga II is a large barangay in the municipality of Plaridel, located in the province of Bulacan, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Banga II had a population of 8,741. This made it the 4th largest of 19 barangays in Plaridel by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Banga II accounted for approximately 7.64% of the total population of Plaridel, which stood at 114,432 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Banga II changed from 9,036 to 8,741, a shift of -3.3% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Plaridel. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Banga II as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Plaridel is a municipality comprising 19 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Banga II, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bulacan, which contains 569 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Banga II ranks 114th by 2020 population.
