Barangay Polo

Situated in Polomolok, South Cotabato, Barangay Polo is one of 23 barangays that make up the municipality within SOCCSKSARGEN.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Polo had a population of 2,793. This made it the 17th largest of 23 barangays in Polomolok by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Polo accounted for approximately 1.62% of the total population of Polomolok, which stood at 172,605 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 2,468 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 2,793 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +13.2%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Polo is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Polomolok is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Polo, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
