Barangay Cambarus

Situated in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, Barangay Cambarus is one of 20 barangays that make up the municipality within Western Visayas.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Cambarus had a population of 2,966. This made it the 7th largest of 20 barangays in Pontevedra by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Cambarus accounted for approximately 5.44% of the total population of Pontevedra, which stood at 54,502 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Cambarus moving from 2,035 residents to 2,966 residents, an intercensal change of +45.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community.
