Barangay Binuntucan

Barangay Binuntucan is a large barangay in the municipality of Pontevedra, located in the province of Capiz, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Binuntucan had a population of 5,228. This made it the 1st largest of 26 barangays in Pontevedra by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Binuntucan accounted for approximately 10.51% of the total population of Pontevedra, which stood at 49,725 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Binuntucan moving from 4,737 residents to 5,228 residents, an intercensal change of +10.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Binuntucan is officially classified as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
