Barangay Intungcan

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Intungcan is one of the administrative divisions of Pontevedra in Capiz, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Intungcan had a population of 1,455. This made it the 14th largest of 26 barangays in Pontevedra by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Intungcan accounted for approximately 2.93% of the total population of Pontevedra, which stood at 49,725 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Intungcan moving from 1,342 residents to 1,455 residents, an intercensal change of +8.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Intungcan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
