Barangay Poblacion

Barangay Poblacion forms part of Porac, a municipality in Pampanga, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion had a population of 1,555. This made it the 22nd largest of 29 barangays in Porac by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion accounted for approximately 1.10% of the total population of Porac, which stood at 140,751 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Poblacion moving from 2,044 residents to 1,555 residents, an intercensal change of -23.9%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Porac is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Poblacion, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
