Barangay Villa Maria

Barangay Villa Maria is a small barangay in the municipality of Porac, located in the province of Pampanga, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Villa Maria had a population of 1,120. This made it the 25th largest of 29 barangays in Porac by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Villa Maria accounted for approximately 0.80% of the total population of Porac, which stood at 140,751 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Villa Maria changed from 839 to 1,120, a shift of +33.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Porac. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Villa Maria as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Porac is a municipality comprising 29 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Villa Maria, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Pampanga, which contains 538 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Villa Maria ranks 471st by 2020 population.
