Barangay Tugnao

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Tugnao is one of the administrative divisions of President Carlos P. Garcia in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Tugnao had a population of 1,185. This made it the 8th largest of 23 barangays in President Carlos P. Garcia by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tugnao accounted for approximately 5.02% of the total population of President Carlos P. Garcia, which stood at 23,625 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,311 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,185 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -9.6%, consistent with a contracting settlement. Barangay Tugnao is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

President Carlos P. Garcia is a municipality comprising 23 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tugnao, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
