Barangay Capannikian

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Capannikian is one of the administrative divisions of Pudtol in Apayao, CAR, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Capannikian had a population of 1,388. This made it the 3rd largest of 22 barangays in Pudtol by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Capannikian accounted for approximately 8.96% of the total population of Pudtol, which stood at 15,491 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Capannikian changed from 1,381 to 1,388, a shift of +0.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Pudtol. Barangay Capannikian is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Pudtol is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Capannikian, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
