Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.)

Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) is a small barangay in the municipality of Pulupandan, located in the province of Negros Occidental, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) had a population of 1,820. This made it the 6th largest of 20 barangays in Pulupandan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) accounted for approximately 6.04% of the total population of Pulupandan, which stood at 30,117 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) moving from 1,581 residents to 1,820 residents, an intercensal change of +15.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Zone 1 (Pob.) as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
