Barangay Calangigan

Situated in Quezon, Isabela, Barangay Calangigan is one of 15 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Calangigan had a population of 733. This made it the 13th largest of 15 barangays in Quezon by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Calangigan accounted for approximately 2.71% of the total population of Quezon, which stood at 27,037 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Calangigan changed from 729 to 733, a shift of +0.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in Quezon. Barangay Calangigan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Quezon is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Calangigan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
