Barangay Santo Niño

Barangay Santo Niño is a small barangay in the municipality of Quinapondan, located in the province of Eastern Samar, in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Santo Niño had a population of 1,382. This made it the 1st largest of 25 barangays in Quinapondan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Santo Niño accounted for approximately 9.53% of the total population of Quinapondan, which stood at 14,507 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Santo Niño moving from 1,457 residents to 1,382 residents, an intercensal change of -5.1%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Santo Niño is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
