Barangay Portal

Barangay Portal is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Rizal, located in the province of Nueva Ecija, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Portal had a population of 2,075. This made it the 15th largest of 26 barangays in Rizal by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Portal accounted for approximately 2.96% of the total population of Rizal, which stood at 70,196 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Portal moving from 1,932 residents to 2,075 residents, an intercensal change of +7.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Portal as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Rizal is a municipality comprising 26 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Portal, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
