Barangay San Vicente

Situated in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro, Barangay San Vicente is one of 22 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Vicente had a population of 5,672. This made it the 5th largest of 22 barangays in Sablayan by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Vicente accounted for approximately 6.13% of the total population of Sablayan, which stood at 92,598 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Vicente moving from 4,962 residents to 5,672 residents, an intercensal change of +14.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Vicente as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

Sablayan is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Vicente, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
