Barangay Nakanmuan

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Nakanmuan is one of the administrative divisions of Sabtang in Batanes, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Nakanmuan had a population of 134. This made it the 6th largest of 6 barangays in Sabtang by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Nakanmuan accounted for approximately 7.90% of the total population of Sabtang, which stood at 1,696 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Nakanmuan changed from 142 to 134, a shift of -5.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with contracting populations in Sabtang. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Nakanmuan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
