Barangay Savidug

Barangay Savidug is a very small barangay in the municipality of Sabtang, located in the province of Batanes, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Savidug had a population of 201. This made it the 4th largest of 6 barangays in Sabtang by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Savidug accounted for approximately 11.85% of the total population of Sabtang, which stood at 1,696 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Savidug changed from 201 to 201, a shift of 0.0% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with broadly stable populations in Sabtang. Barangay Savidug is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sabtang is a municipality comprising 6 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Savidug, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
