Barangay Canmaya Centro

Barangay Canmaya Centro is a small barangay in the municipality of Sagbayan, located in the province of Bohol, in the Central Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canmaya Centro had a population of 1,878. This made it the 2nd largest of 24 barangays in Sagbayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canmaya Centro accounted for approximately 7.72% of the total population of Sagbayan, which stood at 24,335 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Canmaya Centro changed from 1,448 to 1,878, a shift of +29.7% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Sagbayan. Barangay Canmaya Centro is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sagbayan is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Canmaya Centro, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
