Barangay Canmaya Diot

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Canmaya Diot is one of the administrative divisions of Sagbayan in Bohol, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Canmaya Diot had a population of 1,331. This made it the 3rd largest of 24 barangays in Sagbayan by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canmaya Diot accounted for approximately 5.47% of the total population of Sagbayan, which stood at 24,335 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,221 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,331 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +9.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Canmaya Diot is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sagbayan is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Canmaya Diot, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
