Barangay Dagnawan

Barangay Dagnawan forms part of Sagbayan, a municipality in Bohol, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Dagnawan had a population of 838. This made it the 14th largest of 24 barangays in Sagbayan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Dagnawan accounted for approximately 3.44% of the total population of Sagbayan, which stood at 24,335 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 842 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 838 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of -0.5%, consistent with a broadly stable settlement. Barangay Dagnawan is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sagbayan is a municipality comprising 24 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dagnawan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Bohol, which contains 1,109 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Dagnawan ranks 643rd by 2020 population.
