Barangay Nueva Esperanza

Barangay Nueva Esperanza forms part of Saint Bernard, a municipality in Southern Leyte, and is classified as a very small barangay.

This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Saint Bernard. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Nueva Esperanza as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Saint Bernard is a municipality comprising 30 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Nueva Esperanza, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
