Barangay Saray

Situated in Salay, Misamis Oriental, Barangay Saray is one of 18 barangays that make up the municipality within Northern Mindanao.

This made it the 7th largest of 18 barangays in Salay by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Saray accounted for approximately 4.20% of the total population of Salay, which stood at 29,998 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Saray changed from 1,073 to 1,261, a shift of +17.5% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Salay. Barangay Saray is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Salay is a municipality comprising 18 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Saray, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
