Barangay Tan-Agan

Situated in San Andres, Romblon, Barangay Tan-Agan is one of 13 barangays that make up the municipality within MIMAROPA Region.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tan-Agan had a population of 1,572. This made it the 2nd largest of 13 barangays in San Andres by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Tan-Agan accounted for approximately 9.86% of the total population of San Andres, which stood at 15,940 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Tan-Agan moving from 1,627 residents to 1,572 residents, an intercensal change of -3.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tan-Agan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
