Barangay San Francisco

Barangay San Francisco forms part of San Antonio, a municipality in Nueva Ecija, and is classified as a very large barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Francisco had a population of 15,307. This made it the 1st largest of 16 barangays in San Antonio by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Francisco accounted for approximately 18.43% of the total population of San Antonio, which stood at 83,060 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 14,533 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 15,307 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +5.3%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Francisco as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.

San Antonio is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Francisco, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay San Francisco ranks 3rd by 2020 population.
