Barangay San Jose

Situated in San Antonio, Nueva Ecija, Barangay San Jose is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Jose had a population of 519. This made it the 16th largest of 16 barangays in San Antonio by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Jose accounted for approximately 0.62% of the total population of San Antonio, which stood at 83,060 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 354 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 519 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +46.6%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Jose as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Antonio is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Jose, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
