Barangay Ormaca

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Ormaca is one of the administrative divisions of San Francisco in Agusan Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Ormaca had a population of 893. This made it the 26th largest of 27 barangays in San Francisco by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Ormaca accounted for approximately 1.11% of the total population of San Francisco, which stood at 80,760 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 805 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 893 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +10.9%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Ormaca is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Francisco is a municipality comprising 27 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Ormaca, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Agusan Del Sur, which contains 314 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Ormaca ranks 252nd by 2020 population.
