Barangay Camia

Classified as a very small barangay, Barangay Camia is one of the administrative divisions of San Joaquin in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Camia had a population of 444. This made it the 45th largest of 85 barangays in San Joaquin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Camia accounted for approximately 0.84% of the total population of San Joaquin, which stood at 52,617 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Camia changed from 344 to 444, a shift of +29.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Joaquin. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Camia as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Joaquin is a municipality comprising 85 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Camia, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
