Barangay Igcaratong

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Igcaratong is one of the administrative divisions of San Joaquin in Iloilo, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Igcaratong had a population of 611. This made it the 29th largest of 85 barangays in San Joaquin by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Igcaratong accounted for approximately 1.16% of the total population of San Joaquin, which stood at 52,617 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Igcaratong moving from 683 residents to 611 residents, an intercensal change of -10.5%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. Barangay Igcaratong is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
