Barangay San Luis

Barangay San Luis is a small barangay in the municipality of San Joaquin, located in the province of Iloilo, in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Luis had a population of 644. This made it the 25th largest of 85 barangays in San Joaquin by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Luis accounted for approximately 1.22% of the total population of San Joaquin, which stood at 52,617 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Luis moving from 631 residents to 644 residents, an intercensal change of +2.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Luis as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
