Barangay Pinili

Barangay Pinili forms part of San Jose City, a city in Nueva Ecija, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Pinili had a population of 3,968. This made it the 15th largest of 38 barangays in San Jose City by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Pinili accounted for approximately 2.63% of the total population of San Jose City, which stood at 150,917 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 3,066 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 3,968 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +29.4%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Pinili is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jose City is a city comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Pinili, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Pinili ranks 164th by 2020 population.
