Barangay Tulat

Barangay Tulat forms part of San Jose City, a city in Nueva Ecija, and is classified as a small barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Tulat had a population of 1,657. This made it the 29th largest of 38 barangays in San Jose City by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the city. Residents of Barangay Tulat accounted for approximately 1.10% of the total population of San Jose City, which stood at 150,917 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Tulat changed from 1,634 to 1,657, a shift of +1.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with slowly expanding populations in San Jose City. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Tulat as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Jose City is a city comprising 38 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Tulat, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. Within the wider province of Nueva Ecija, which contains 849 barangays across its component cities and municipalities, Barangay Tulat ranks 530th by 2020 population.
