Barangay Gusa

Situated in San Jose De Buan, Samar, Barangay Gusa is one of 14 barangays that make up the municipality within Eastern Visayas.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Gusa had a population of 388. This made it the 7th largest of 14 barangays in San Jose De Buan by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. The barangay recorded 347 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 388 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +11.8%, consistent with a growing settlement. Barangay Gusa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
