Barangay Lawacamulag

Barangay Lawacamulag is a small barangay in the municipality of San Jose, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Lawacamulag had a population of 1,371. This made it the 13th largest of 13 barangays in San Jose by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Lawacamulag accounted for approximately 3.33% of the total population of San Jose, which stood at 41,182 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Lawacamulag moving from 1,209 residents to 1,371 residents, an intercensal change of +13.4%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Lawacamulag is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
