Barangay Wegguam

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Wegguam is one of the administrative divisions of San Luis in Agusan Del Sur, Caraga, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Wegguam had a population of 609. This made it the 22nd largest of 25 barangays in San Luis by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Wegguam accounted for approximately 1.73% of the total population of San Luis, which stood at 35,196 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Wegguam moving from 457 residents to 609 residents, an intercensal change of +33.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Wegguam as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
