Barangay Matarannoc

Barangay Matarannoc is a small barangay in the municipality of San Manuel, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Matarannoc had a population of 1,135. This made it the 15th largest of 15 barangays in San Manuel by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Matarannoc accounted for approximately 4.00% of the total population of San Manuel, which stood at 28,387 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Matarannoc changed from 926 to 1,135, a shift of +22.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Manuel. Barangay Matarannoc is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Manuel is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Matarannoc, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
