Barangay San Miguel

Barangay San Miguel is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of San Manuel, located in the province of Tarlac, in the Central Luzon region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay San Miguel had a population of 2,447. This made it the 3rd largest of 15 barangays in San Manuel by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Miguel accounted for approximately 8.62% of the total population of San Manuel, which stood at 28,387 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Miguel moving from 2,210 residents to 2,447 residents, an intercensal change of +10.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay San Miguel is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Manuel is a municipality comprising 15 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Miguel, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
