Barangay Miasin

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Miasin is one of the administrative divisions of San Pablo in Zamboanga Del Sur, Zamboanga Peninsula, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Miasin had a population of 1,030. This made it the 10th largest of 28 barangays in San Pablo by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Miasin accounted for approximately 3.87% of the total population of San Pablo, which stood at 26,648 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Miasin changed from 1,001 to 1,030, a shift of +2.9% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in San Pablo. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Miasin as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

San Pablo is a municipality comprising 28 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Miasin, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
