Barangay Milagrosa

Classified as a mid-sized barangay, Barangay Milagrosa is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Catalina in Negros Oriental, Central Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Milagrosa had a population of 3,599. This made it the 9th largest of 22 barangays in Santa Catalina by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Milagrosa accounted for approximately 4.64% of the total population of Santa Catalina, which stood at 77,501 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Milagrosa changed from 3,508 to 3,599, a shift of +2.6% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santa Catalina. Barangay Milagrosa is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Catalina is a municipality comprising 22 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Milagrosa, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
