Barangay Bayto

Situated in Santa Cruz, Zambales, Barangay Bayto is one of 25 barangays that make up the municipality within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Bayto had a population of 4,116. This made it the 3rd largest of 25 barangays in Santa Cruz by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Bayto accounted for approximately 6.45% of the total population of Santa Cruz, which stood at 63,839 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Bayto moving from 3,925 residents to 4,116 residents, an intercensal change of +4.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Bayto is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Cruz is a municipality comprising 25 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Bayto, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
