Barangay Dayap

Barangay Dayap forms part of Santa Cruz, a municipality in Occidental Mindoro, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

This made it the 7th largest of 11 barangays in Santa Cruz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Dayap changed from 2,519 to 2,874, a shift of +14.1% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santa Cruz. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Dayap as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Cruz is a municipality comprising 11 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Dayap, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
