Barangay Balete

Situated in Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, Barangay Balete is one of 16 barangays that make up the municipality within Cagayan Valley.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Balete had a population of 850. This made it the 10th largest of 16 barangays in Santa Fe by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Balete accounted for approximately 4.65% of the total population of Santa Fe, which stood at 18,276 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Balete moving from 716 residents to 850 residents, an intercensal change of +18.7%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Balete as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
