Barangay Canabuan

Barangay Canabuan forms part of Santa Fe, a municipality in Nueva Vizcaya, and is classified as a mid-sized barangay.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Canabuan had a population of 2,047. This made it the 1st largest of 16 barangays in Santa Fe by population, placing it among the most populous barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Canabuan accounted for approximately 11.20% of the total population of Santa Fe, which stood at 18,276 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Canabuan moving from 1,650 residents to 2,047 residents, an intercensal change of +24.1%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Canabuan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Fe is a municipality comprising 16 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Canabuan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
