Barangay Namagbagan

Barangay Namagbagan is a mid-sized barangay in the municipality of Santa Maria, located in the province of Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Namagbagan had a population of 2,156. This made it the 5th largest of 23 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Namagbagan accounted for approximately 6.30% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 34,220 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Namagbagan moving from 2,054 residents to 2,156 residents, an intercensal change of +5.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Namagbagan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
