Barangay San Antonio

Barangay San Antonio is a small barangay in the municipality of Santa Maria, located in the province of Isabela, in the Cagayan Valley region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay San Antonio had a population of 1,507. This made it the 7th largest of 20 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay San Antonio accounted for approximately 5.85% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 25,758 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay San Antonio moving from 1,371 residents to 1,507 residents, an intercensal change of +9.9%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay San Antonio as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Maria is a municipality comprising 20 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay San Antonio, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
