Barangay Poblacion Norte

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Poblacion Norte is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Maria in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Region, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Poblacion Norte had a population of 1,215. This made it the 7th largest of 33 barangays in Santa Maria by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Poblacion Norte accounted for approximately 4.05% of the total population of Santa Maria, which stood at 30,006 in the same census year.

Between the 2015 and 2020 censuses, the population of Barangay Poblacion Norte changed from 1,186 to 1,215, a shift of +2.4% over the five-year period. This places the barangay among those with growing populations in Santa Maria. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Poblacion Norte as urban, reflecting the density and built-up character of the area.
