Barangay Masi

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Masi is one of the administrative divisions of Santa Teresita in Cagayan, Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Masi had a population of 1,160. This made it the 10th largest of 13 barangays in Santa Teresita by population, placing it in the middle tier of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Masi accounted for approximately 5.93% of the total population of Santa Teresita, which stood at 19,573 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Masi moving from 1,188 residents to 1,160 residents, an intercensal change of -2.4%. The trajectory indicates a contracting community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Masi as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Santa Teresita is a municipality comprising 13 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Masi, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
