Barangay Labut Sur

Barangay Labut Sur is a very small barangay in the municipality of Santa, located in the province of Ilocos Sur, in the Ilocos Region region of the Philippines.

According to the 2020 Philippine census, Barangay Labut Sur had a population of 280. This made it the 20th largest of 26 barangays in Santa by population, placing it among the smaller barangays of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Labut Sur accounted for approximately 1.87% of the total population of Santa, which stood at 14,992 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Labut Sur moving from 261 residents to 280 residents, an intercensal change of +7.3%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. Barangay Labut Sur is officially classified as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.
