Barangay Rang-ayan

Situated in Science City of Muñoz, Nueva Ecija, Barangay Rang-ayan is one of 37 barangays that make up the city within Central Luzon.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Rang-ayan had a population of 2,311. This made it the 14th largest of 37 barangays in Science City of Muñoz by population, placing it in the middle tier of the city. Residents of Barangay Rang-ayan accounted for approximately 2.74% of the total population of Science City of Muñoz, which stood at 84,308 in the same census year.

Census comparisons between 2015 and 2020 show Barangay Rang-ayan moving from 2,139 residents to 2,311 residents, an intercensal change of +8.0%. The trajectory indicates a growing community. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Rang-ayan as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Science City of Muñoz is a city comprising 37 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Rang-ayan, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration. The next Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) are scheduled for Monday, November 2, 2026, with officials serving four-year terms under Republic Act No. 12232.
