Barangay Catungan IV

Classified as a small barangay, Barangay Catungan IV is one of the administrative divisions of Sibalom in Antique, Western Visayas, Philippines.

According to the 2020 Census of Population and Housing conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority, Barangay Catungan IV had a population of 1,173. This made it the 13th largest of 76 barangays in Sibalom by population, placing it in the upper half of the municipality. Residents of Barangay Catungan IV accounted for approximately 1.84% of the total population of Sibalom, which stood at 63,833 in the same census year.

The barangay recorded 1,128 residents in the 2015 intercensal count and 1,173 residents in the 2020 Census — a net change of +4.0%, consistent with a growing settlement. The Philippine Statistics Authority classifies Barangay Catungan IV as rural, a designation applied to barangays with lower population density and predominantly non-built-up land use.

Sibalom is a municipality comprising 76 barangays, and serves as the governing unit directly responsible for local services in Barangay Catungan IV, including public health, sanitation, peace and order, and civil registration.
